Applications are now open for the Lead2030 Challenge for SDG 3, which offers a remarkable opportunity to youth-led non-profit organizations striving to address the critical climate and health challenges impacting young people today.
The selected solution will receive a substantial grant of US $50,000, alongside a fully-funded scholarship to attend the prestigious 2024 One Young World Summit in Montreal, Canada.
Additionally, the winner will benefit from mentorship provided by AstraZeneca and participation in a development program through the YHP’s Impact Fellowship.
Prizes
The winning solution will receive:
- Scholarship to participate in the One Young World Summit 2024
- A US$50,000 grant from AstraZeneca
- 12 months of mentorship from a team of AstraZeneca professionals and partners, focusing on accelerating the solution based on the specific needs of the initiative or organization, including areas such as business strategy, data collection best practices, monitoring and evaluation, and product design.
Eligibility Criteria
- Nationals of all eligible countries are invited to apply.
- Applicants must demonstrate a positive impact related to leading climate/health equity projects benefiting youth aged 10-24.
- Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing) is required.
- Ability to fully participate in person at the One Young World Summit (18 – 21 September 2024) in Montreal, Canada.
- Ability to commit to a one-year Fellowship program and attend at least 75% of modules/activities.
- Applicants must be founders or leaders of registered non-profit organizations that have been operational for at least three full years. And have had a total reported income in the last financial year of more than USD$100,000 and less than USD$2,000,000.
- Applicants must be able to propose a 6-12 month project that identifies barriers young people aged 10-24 experience in accessing healthcare. Proposes an innovative solution to this problem, is designed and delivered inclusively and non-discriminatory. Considers environmental impact, and can demonstrate measurable impact.
