International students and foreign-based Italian nationals are eligible for the MAECI Scholarship. Students can use the scholarship to enroll in Master’s and PhD programmes at public universities in Italy.

Italian Government (MAECI) Scholarship – Overview

The Italian Government (MAECI) Scholarship will run for a duration of nine (9) months. The purpose of this award is to provide financial assistance to students who cannot afford the associated costs. A monthly stipend, reimbursement for tuition, and health insurance are all included in the scholarship.

Scholarships are available for four distinct study programmes: research under academic supervision, Ph.D. programme, Master’s degree, and Courses of Higher Education in Arts, Music, and Dance (AFAM). Benefits and Financial Coverage

The MAECI Scholarship will cover the following costs for each selected applicant:

  • Exemption from paying the tuition and enrollment costs.
  • MAECI has a health and medical/accident insurance contract.
  • Three installments totaling €9000 euros will be awarded to students:
  1. The initial payment of €4,500.
  2. 2500 Euro in installment two.
  3. 2000 Euro’s third and last episode.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates for master’s programmes must have earned a bachelor’s degree before applying.
  • When applying for the Master’s programme, you must be 28 years of age or younger.
  • You cannot be older than 30 at the time of application if you are applying for a PhD programme.
  • The applicant must be able to provide documentation of their English language competency, such as an English competency language proof or an IELTS language certificate.
