iPhone 14 Pro Price Hike Is Looking Very Likely

In the midst of a series of rumors and leaks surrounding this year’s forthcoming iPhone 14 series, there has been no development that is more controversial than the potential increase in prices.

It however shouldn’t be too surprising that even Apple as one of the leading tech companies at the moment isn’t immune to global economic pressures currently; driven by factors like the recent pandemic and soaring costs of energy. Supply chain issues also have affected many manufacturers and now the resultant rising costs are being passed down to customers.

Rumors of the entire iPhone 14 line getting a price hike go back several months at this stage and while many sources have dillydallied on whether all of Apple’s upcoming phones will be affected, or whether only some of the phones will, a new leak posted on South Korean online website Naver as per PhoneArena claims that “Apple (has) decided to freeze the launch price of the iPhone 14 base model through a decision at the top executive level.”

Ianzuk Shared This Latest Rumor Surrounding the Apple Phones

Ianzuk, although not yet verified, is the user who shared this latest rumor surrounding the apple phones. This user already has a history of commenting on releases from other big brands in the industry such as Samsung and Asus, thus showing some degree and extent of insider knowledge in their posts. That being said, this very latest rumor is not without merit.

The Supposed Price for the New Range of iPhones

If this is true, then the base iPhone will be launched at the same starting price as the current iPhone 13 at $799. Meanwhile, on the other hand, the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro Max are expected to cost $100 more than their respective predecessors in 2021. This would therefore result in a base price of $1,099 and $1,199 respectively.
