iOS 16 is Coming Soon And It’s Not Coming Alone

iOS 16 is Coming Soon And It’s Not Coming Alone. Do you know that iOS16 is coming soon and it’s not coming alone this time around?

iOS 16 Is Coming Soon And It’s Not Coming Alone

The very much iOS 16 is due to be revealed at the WWDC 2022 in June and rumors already suggest some interesting updates are in store for the iPhone. Are you hyped about this? This is because if you are not, we totally are and simply cannot wait.

iOS 16 Is Coming Soon And It’s Not Coming Alone

Normally, iOS updates are like clockwork. Every year there’s a new iPhone-focused update and ever since the inception of this update, the experience offered on the iPhone has increased immensely.

The latest release officially from the tech company which is the iOS 15 brought with it a series of very much-needed changes to its notification systems and also the introduction of the focus system, a newly vamped FaceTime experience, and many more. The thing however is that it’s close to a year since its introduction and it’s almost time for the iOS 16 debut.

iOS 16 Release Date

When will iOS 16 be released? The last update iOS 15 was released in September 2021. This means that it is going to take a little bit longer before we get the iOS 16 update on our iPhones. However, I have a great idea as to when it will be announced and likely to be released. The reason for this is that apple normally likes to follow the same schedule every year. And what is that schedule?

Generally, apple prefers to initially announce the next version of iOS at its annual developer-focused WWDC event. And this event takes place in early June together with new versions of WatchOS, iPadOS, macOS, and tvOS. The company has announced and also confirmed that this year’s event will take place between 6-10 June. The company also confirmed that the special keynote address will commence on 6 June at 10 am PDT / 1 pm EDT.

Post announcement also revealed that it will see a beta version of the yet-to-be-released software to developers and excited public beta testers in the summer before its official release in September usually together with its next-gen iPhone.

How Much Will iOS 16 Cost

Generally, it is not supposed to cost a dime. And as with every iOS update that there ever is, iOS 16 will be a free upgrade for all supported iPhone users.

Which iPhones will Support iOS 16

Apple is well known for making its mobile OS available to as many smartphones as possible, unlike android which offers two or three years of operating system upgrade. For instance, the iPhone 6s was released back in 2015 at the same time as the Samsung Galaxy S6. And while the tech company apple included the iPhone 6s in its iOS 15 update, the galaxy s6 on the other hand did not get an upgrade to android 8 and not even android 12.

For now, it is still very vague s to which iPhones will be getting the iOS 16 update and all early reports and rumors are all pointing in the same direction. However as cited by iDrop News, the iOS 16 update will not be available on the iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s plus, and the original iPhone SE back in 2016. It is however unclear where this information originated from.

With that being said, I will be making a list of supported devices for iOS 15 and I can very much imagine that it will be a very similar list as to when the iOS 16 update will be released.

  • iPhone 13 Pro Max
  • iPhone 13 Pro
  • iPhone 13
  • iPhone 13 mini
  • iPhone 12 Pro Max
  • iPhone 12 Pro

  • iPhone 8 Plus
  • iPhone 8
