Hideo Kojima sparks Death Stranding 2 rumors simply by sharing a picture of Keanu Reeves and Norman Reedus. Fans are really excited about a Death Stranding 2, but for the time being it’s all rumors and leaks.
Death Stranding 2 Rumors
Hideo Kojima has just recently sparked an online debacle just by posting pictures of the star of Death Stranding Norman Reedus with Keanu Reeves, thus kicking off speculation and rumors that the Matrix Star may just be appearing in Death Stranding 2.
And while the candid shots may just simply show a couple of biking pals out for a ride and nothing more to it, given the fact Kojima trolls us frequently and effectively simply by giving us sneaky peeks of his all-star cast a couple of years before they are formally announced, and with this it is perhaps no surprise that fans have gone wild with this.
Fans’ Reaction to the Post
“Holy sh*t,” one commenter exclaimed. “What are you cooking up.” “Wake the fu*k up, Sam Bridges,” another teased, thus uniting memorable lines from Cyberpunk 2077 as well as Death Stranding together. “We got a package to deliver.”
This is not even the first time that Kojima has teased users just by posing with Reeves, either. Reeves back in 2019, stopped by Kojima Productions just to say hello, thus sending the rumor mill into overdrive. And whilst it is now clear that Reeves didn’t have the time or inclination to lend his likeness to Kojima at the set time, it is very possible that the recent starring role of Reeves in Cyberpunk 2077 may just have changed things.
The Game Awards 2023
Either way, the posts of Kojima are rarely as innocent as they seem. Guess we will get to find out sooner or later, and if not, then at Gamescom, The Game Awards 2023 as you should know are just four short months away now.
Hideo Kojima just detailed how the story of Death Stranding 2 was completely rewritten due to the COVID-19 pandemic recently.
Death Stranding 2 Storyline
Death Stranding 2 which as you should know is arguably one of the biggest upcoming games – was initially announced by Kojima at the end of the previous year, thus promising to build upon the original release in new and many exciting ways.
When asked as to whether the story of Death Stranding 2 was based on the pandemic, he then responded: “That’s not true. But I had to rewrite everything because of Coronavirus.
“In Death Stranding, it was just to connect, but with the coronavirus crisis, pseudo-connections such as remotes have come to be emphasized.
“On the other hand, I felt that such pseudo-connections alone would not lead to fulfilling human lives. After all, humans need to go out into the outside world and move”.
