The much anticipated and waited-for Game of Thrones prequel series is not very far away as it is set to premiere on the 21st of August on HBO. The series has got an official second trailer to prove that it is worth every penny of the Home box office. House of the dragon, as it is titled on Wednesday, dropped its latest look which is just a couple of days ahead of a panel set on Saturday at San Diego comic-con, set to take place on July 21-24.

The Series Is Based On a Novel by George R.R. Martins

The series house of the dragon is one based on the novel fire and blood by George R.R. Martins which tells the story and history of the house Targaryen. The story is set 200 years before the vents of the game of thrones and it stars actors such as Paddy Considine, Matt Smith, Olivia Cookem Steve Toussaint, Emma D’Arcy, Fabian Frankel, Eve Best, Sonoya Mizuno, and Rhys Ifans. This is just about some of the cast of the show as the series boasts of a bigger cast.

The First Trailer Dropped Back In May

The first trailer for the series dropped back in May and it revealed Rhaenyra Targaryen (Milly Alcock) who is the named heir to king Viserys (Considine). Rhaenys (Best) however warns a then young Rhaenyra that “men would sooner put the realm to the torch than see a woman ascend the Iron Throne.”

When Will the Series Make Its Debut?

The series will debut on Sunday, August 21 at 9 pm ET on HBO. And it will then be available to stream for subscribers on HBO Max. The series will be made up of 10 episodes.
