The latest doodle from Google now celebrates the famous Filipino dish adobo which is “a symbol and expression of Filipino pride that varies from region to region, family to family, palate to palate,” as per a post from Google.

Ingredients Used In the Famous Filipino Dish

Filipino adobo as you should know features marinated meat or vegetables that are braised into a stew. Google however noted. Soy sauce, vinegar, bay leaves, garlic, and black pepper are some of the ingredients that are commonly used in preparing this dish.

The Google Doodle Was Made On Wednesday

The change to the Google logo on Wednesday comes on the anniversary of the word “adobo.” The word was first added to the Oxford English Dictionary in 2006 and was then included in the list of the next OED quarterly update on March 15, 2007.

What the Illustrator behind the Doodle Has To Say

Anthony Irwin, the doodles illustrator in the post said that he “tried to capture that simple childhood joy of leaning in and savoring the kind of food that makes home feel like home.”
