Applications are open for the Z Zurich Foundation Scholarship to Attend the One Young World Summit 2024. The Z Zurich Foundation Scholarship aims to empower 30 young leaders engaged in projects focused on prevention-oriented mental well-being, adaptation-focused climate resilience, or initiatives promoting social equity through education, employability, or entrepreneurship solutions.
This scholarship provides an opportunity to participate in the One Young World Summit 2024, scheduled to take place in Montréal, Canada, from September 18 to 21. If you are a young leader dedicated to advancing any of these causes, this scholarship could be your gateway.
Fully Funded Z Zurich Foundation Scholarship for One Young World Summit 2024
The Z Zurich Foundation is dedicated to creating brighter futures for vulnerable populations, with a primary focus on prevention. Their pillars adapting to climate change, improving mental well-being, and enabling social equity address urgent and complex issues impacting individuals, communities, and society at large.
The Foundation actively works to help disadvantaged communities adapt to a changing climate, build a global community committed to enhancing the mental well-being of young people, and equip youth with the skills and resources needed to reach their full potential. They believe in the power of connection and fostering relationships to tackle society’s challenges from the ground up.
The scholarship not only grants access to the One Young World Summit 2024 but also includes participation in additional scholarship programming organized by the Z Zurich Foundation. This may involve pre- and post-summit sessions, opportunities to engage with the wider Z Zurich Foundation delegation, and an impact-focused development day on Sunday, September 22, during conference week.
Access to the One Young World Indigenous Day:
- The Indigenous Day on September 17 in Montréal, before the core Summit dates, will bring together young Indigenous and First Nation leaders globally.
- Scholars will have the chance to share experiences, learn from one another, and engage with other One Young World Delegates.
- The Indigenous Day will celebrate cultural diversity and traditions, providing a platform for Indigenous and First Nations youth to showcase their cultures.
Scholarship details
Selected scholars will receive:
- Access to the One Young World Summit 2024 in Montréal.
- Participation in additional scholarship programming organized by Z Zurich Foundation.
- Hotel accommodation in Montréal from September 17 to 23 (inclusive).
- Return air travel.
- Catering, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
- Ground transportation between Summit venues in Montréal.
Eligibility
- Applicants should be aged 18 to 30 at the time of the One Young World Summit 2024.
- Passion for addressing local and global issues.
- Demonstrated commitment to creating positive change.
- Willingness to engage and collaborate with fellow scholarship recipients and Zurich employees attending the Summit.
- Demonstrated impact in a field aligned with the work of the Z Zurich Foundation: Improving Mental Wellbeing, Enabling Social Equity, or Adapting to Climate Change.
