Application is currently ongoing for The Female Founders Growth Programme 2023. In partnership with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and WEAV Capital, we have created The Female Founders Growth Programme to provide assistance to tech start-ups in Nigeria led by women. The selected start-ups will have the opportunity to engage in an exceptional Investment Readiness Programme aimed at assisting female-led tech companies with significant capital-raising potential. The IFC and WEAV Capital will collaborate to deliver this program together.
Selected start-ups will undergo customized, immersive sessions to improve their business models, refine fundraising strategies, and prepare data rooms for potential investors. Also, they will undergo thorough training in financial management, optimizing cash flow, and becoming well-prepared for investment, including both equity and debt funding.
The Female Founders’ Growth Programme will run for a duration of 6 weeks, during which participants will actively engage in mentorship sessions, attend masterclasses, and get the opportunity to present their ideas to potential investors on an Investor Pitch Day.

- The most impressive pitch will be awarded non-equity funding of $10,000. Additionally, all selected startups will have the potential to receive funding from investors participating in the programme.
Eligibility Criteria Of Female Founders Growth Programme
In order to be eligible for the program, companies must meet the following requirements:
- Have at least one female founder or co-founder as part of the founding team.
- Have developed a Minimum Viable Product and gained some initial users.
- Have achieved annual revenues ranging from $50,000 to 1 million
- Have received funding of less than $500,000.
- It has been in operation for more than one year but less than five years.
- Be a technology or technology-enabled business operating in any sector.
Be an early-stage company (pre-seed or seed) that is seeking institutional funding to advance its product to the next stage of growth.
Program Duration
The program will run for a period of 6 weeks, starting in mid-October and concluding in November. Participants can expect to dedicate around 5 hours per week to the program. It will be conducted virtually.
