The outlet on Friday reported a lawsuit seeking class-action status filed on Thursday, accusing social network Twitter of violating the federal worker adjustment and retraining notification (WARN) act, which requires big companies to give at least 60 days of advance notice bore mass layoffs.

Musk Just Completed A Deal to Purchase Twitter for $44 Billion

This very move is coming just after musk completed a deal to purchase Twitter for $44 billion and ten fired several of its executives. He however has also been one of the toughest critics of Twitter accusing the social media company of “failing to adhere to free speech principles” and also misleading him about the number of spam or fake accounts on the social media platform.

Musk did try to back out of the deal, but the social networking company sued him to go through with the agreement.

Time reported back in October that workers of twitter wrote a letter to the board of directors of the company, musk, and staff noting that the cut of staff “will hurt Twitter’s ability to serve the public conversation.” The company reportedly has 238 million daily users on the platform that can see ads.
