How to Apply for European Writing Prize 2023

Are you Interested and qualified for the European Society of Literature (European Writing Prize)?

Eligibility Criteria  European Society of Literature European Writing Prize Qualification

  • The European Writing Prize is open to anyone even though the title reads ‘European’. Go ahead and submit a piece of writing regardless of where you are in the world.
  • You will only be required to submit your written content in English, as their judges mostly speak that as their first language.
  • All Interested applicants must be 18 years of age to submit.
  • The piece should be submitted in English.
  • Ensure that the piece is your work and not the work of others. Note that evidence of plagiarism will have your work removed from the competition.
  • Applicants are allowed to enter the competition as many times as possible
  • Do not use different names If you enter the competition more than one time.
  • The writing format should be 12 points, double-spaced with Page numbers
  • The required length of your submitted piece should be between 1,500 and 3,500 words.

Important dates and Process for the European Society of Literature European Writing Prize

  • Please note that application submissions will open on 1 October 2022, and will close on 1 January 2023.
  • After which the longlist will be published 2 weeks later, on 15 January 2023.
  • Shortlisted Candidates will be published a week later, on the 22 January 2023, with the winner being announced the following week, on the 29 January 2023.
