Egbe Omo Yoruba Empowering Nigerian Students for Success Scholarship application for the 2023-2024 academic year, is now open and all suitably qualified Nigerian students of Yoruba descent are invited to apply. This edition of the award offers up to $250 US dollars as financial support to qualified Nigerian students currently pursuing a taught program in accredited universities or polytechnic institutions across the country.
In line with it’s commitment to supporting education and empowering the youth, especially those of Yoruba descent, the Egbe Omo Yoruba of Greater Miami Valley in the USA is thrilled to inform the general public about the commencement of the 2023-2024 Scholarship Awards for students enrolled in Nigerian Universities and Polytechnics, as well as the financial assistance offered.
Egbe Omo Yoruba Scholarship 2023/24 – Details
Established in 1993, the Egbe Omo Yoruba showcases the organization’s commitment to the academic progress of Nigerian students. Applications for the scholarship are now being accepted, and eligible applicants will be chosen to receive the grant. At the time of the award, each beneficiary will receive the Naira equivalent of the sum mentioned above.
As a Yoruba Cultural group, kindly be advised that qualified students of Yoruba heritage are highly encouraged to apply. Nevertheless, those who are related to or family members of Egbe Omo Yoruba in the wider Miami Valley are not permitted to apply.
Benefits of Egbe Omo Yoruba Scholarship
Each of the successfully selected Candidates (scholarship recipients) of the Egbe Omo Yoruba Scholarship program, will be awarded the Naira equivalent of $250 US dollars at the time of the award.
Eligibility Requirement for Undergraduate Scholarship
To be eligible for the Egbe Omo Yoruba Scholarship 2023-24, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:
- Applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited University/Polytechnic in Nigeria.
- Should maintain a CGPA of at least 3.0/4.0 or 3.75/5.0 on the grading scale.
- Must provide the following essential information:
- Name of the University/Polytechnic
- City and state of the institution
- Full Name as per University/Polytechnic records
- Office transcript showing educational performance, specifying Major, Year Level, and Cumulative GPA.
- Candidates must demonstrate financial need by crafting a brief written statement submitted with the application.
- Applicants must Submit a letter of recommendation from an academic staff member familiar with the student’s performance and character.
