ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development (EBID) Recruitment of Young Graduates Program 2024

The ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development (EBID) was established to create the conditions necessary for West Africa to become economically robust, industrialized, and perfectly integrated both within the continent and the globe at large.

Overview of EBID Recruitment of Young Graduates Program

The ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development (EBID) is inviting young graduates from universities and major schools in the West African sub-region and the diaspora, as an implementation of it’s recruitment program. Young high-level graduates under thirty (30) years old at the time of recruitment are the target audience for the young graduate recruitment programme.

The successfully selected applicants will be given a two-year fixed-term contract (CDD) as young executives in training at the Bank. After they successfully complete a six-month trial period, during which either party may end the agreement with no further notice, their appointments will become a contract if they prove to be satisfactory for the course of the two-year fixed-term contract (also known as CDD). This implies that they join the permanent workforce.

Responsibilities

Participants will be reassigned to the different departments on a rotating basis during the fixed-term contract period (also known as CDD) in order to become familiar with their operations and form a cohesive team to which they will prudently contribute.

They will also be conversant with the Bank’s many departments, policies, and development initiatives in addition to reporting to senior managers.

Benefits of EBID Young Graduate Recruitment Program

  1. Young graduates are not hired to fill open positions; rather, they are assigned to departments based on departmental needs, in compliance with the program’s regulations. For the term of their appointment, they are nonetheless treated as bank civil servants and are entitled to the terms of service associated with grade P1-1 of the Bank’s classification and compensation scale.
  2. The remuneration for this grade will be increased by a number of allowances, including:
  • Position adjustment
  • Housing and transit allowances, and
  • Family allowances (if applicable)
  1. Young graduates will also have access to group insurance coverage covering the following risks during their appointment:
  • Death and permanent disability,
