Do Not Expect the AirPods Pro 2 at the iPhone 14 Launch Event
The September 9 launch date for the iPhone 14 is approaching very fast, we are all wondering naturally at the moment as to what else will be making an appearance on the virtual stage. The apple watch 8 seems to be up there for a possible unveiling and also there may be will be at least another apple watch model.
That being said, what about the AirPods Pro 2? Well, at this very point, they are one of the most rumored apple products, with the earliest reports claiming that they would be appearing back in 2021. Another report came claiming that they are being mass produced in the early parts of 2022 and will be ready for an end-of-2022 launch.
Why the New AirPods Pro Will Not Be Making an Appearance at This Event
The end of 2022 is now approaching and there is an apple event still at hand, so it is right that we should be expecting them to make an appearance alongside the new iPhones, right? Well, I don’t think that the new AirPods pro will be making an appearance at this event. I rather think that we will have to wait until October.
Over the last couple of years, Apple has always held two events towards the end of the year and even did three in the pandemic-ravaged year of 2020. And generally, an October event held by apple is where you tend to get the announcement of AirPods, iPads, and Macs.
The original AirPods pro was announced during an October event held in 2019. AirPods 3 on the other hand were announced at an October event back in 2021 also. AirPods max actually was not announced at any major event, but instead in a surprise press release in December 2020 was announced. But this however still fits the later in the year than the September timeframe and also that was a weird and not so alright year.
Fans and Enthusiasts Will Have To Wait A Little Bit More for the New AirPods
You should however know that there are expectations to this rule though. AirPods 2 were announced back in march 2019 and most importantly, the original AirPods were announced in September 2016 alongside the iPhone 7.
But if you could see at the time, apple was announcing a whole new class of products and it has not announced any updated o newer versions of them in September. You should also compare it that the apple watch, which always has been announced alongside the iPhone with the exception of the year 2020 of course.
And despite how users anticipate the AirPods pro unveiling, they are going to have to wait a few more weeks to know their fate.
