- Distinguished Faculty Scholarship: The Distinguished Faculty Scholarship program is offered to first-year students or transfers based on academic performance, up to $8,500 is awarded for the first year and $8,500 for transfer. Distinguished Faculty Scholarships are Renewable upon maintaining a 2.5 QPA and full-time undergraduate status.
- Alumni Scholarship: The Alumni Scholarship is also awarded annually to first-year students or transfers based on academic performance, with up to $7,000 given for the first year and $7,000 for transfers. To renew this Award, students must maintain a 2.0 QPA and full-time undergraduate status.
About Daemen University
Daemen University has a rich history that dates back to it’s establishment in 1947 as Rosary Hill College. The university was said to have been established by Sisters of St. Francis of Penance and Christian Charity, who were inspired by the dedication of Magdalene Daemen, a Dutch woman who was committed to working with the less fortunate.
The university has been accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education since 1956 and reaffirmed in 2017. Daemen University was originally a liberal arts college exclusively for women, it became co-educational in 1971, extending its commitment to academic excellence to both men and women.
As a result of its independence and nonsectarian In 1976, the university changed its name to Daemen College.
