The DA South African Young Leaders Programme Class of 2024 applications are now open, providing a unique opportunity for young South Africans between the ages of 18 and 35 to participate in a political leadership learning and development program.

The Young Leaders Programme (YLP) is a one-year political leadership learning and development initiative tailored for individuals who align themselves with the DA’s core values. Participants of the program should be highly motivated and interested in pursuing a career in politics or public service, with the ultimate goal of contributing to the creation of a better South Africa.

During the course of the program, participants will have the opportunity to expand their political knowledge, critical thinking, and communication skills. Moreover, they will engage in sessions focused on personal development, gaining insights into their leadership style and areas of growth.

Additionally, Young Leaders will be tasked with conceptualizing and undertaking a leadership project, providing them with a platform to enhance their influence, self-awareness, and emotional maturity – qualities essential for becoming dynamic and resilient leaders on the national stage.

All costs directly related to the YLP are covered by the DA, making it accessible to eligible applicants.
