Founded in 1954, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, popularly referred to as CERN, is a famous research centre that operates the largest particle physics laboratory in the world.
CERN is located in a northwestern suburb of Geneva, on the France–Switzerland border.
The Organization provides Summer International Student Exchange Program Opportunities for a duration of 3 Months. The program entails visiting the faculties of CERN, meeting with diverse people that will deliver lectures to you.
Upon completing the summer exchange program, a short report on your work and project at CERN will be expected at the end of your stay.

Eligibility Criteria for CERN Summer Students Program
- The summer exchange is open of candidates of all nationalities.
- The Applicant must be a Bachelor’s or Master’s student (not Ph.D.) in Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics
- Must have completed at least 3 years of full-time studies at the university level.
- The Applicant must not have worked at CERN before with any other status (Technical Student, Trainee, User, or another status) for more than 3 months.
- Candidates with good knowledge of English and French would be given preference
