Blizzard Gives Warcraft Mobile a Date for Game Reveal

Blizzard finally gives warcraft mobile a date for the game reveal based in the Warcraft universe. We are already aware of the fact that Blizzard is working on the game for some time – this event would most likely reveal just a few more basics. Hopefully, aside from the gameplay and details about the game, we would hear about the release date of the new title- although blizzard has not specifically divulged what kind of announcements it’s planning to make.

Blizzard Gives Warcraft Mobile a Date for Game Reveal

The game reveal would be taking place on May 3, 2022, at 10 a.m. PDT. In order for you to tune right in, you would be required to head over to the official blizzard website where the unveiling would be streaming. Well, a Tuesday morning is quite odd for blizzard to be dropping the mobile game reveal, but as we have heard very little about the title so far, we are down for it.

Story and Mobile Power

In its announcement, Blizzard talks about how the game has been built from the background up to be suitable for mobile. This implies that this would not be a port of one of Blizzard’s existing games and we are most likely looking at a whole new title, albeit set in a familiar universe. However, the company is being exceptionally tight-lipped as to what to expect from the new Warcraft mobile game.

Given how big the game universe is, we could actually be starring at just about anything. A Story-based game like the successful “warcraft 3” could be a very interesting choice for its mobile players, as long as there is enough screen real-estate to support it. On the other hand, all kinds of games have successfully made a surprisingly robust trip to mobile – take “Fortnite,” for example – so a smaller screen should not be that much of a big obstacle anymore.

Blizzard is Working on More New Games

It is not so easy to deny the fact that blizzard would be recovering from a controversial year. With the numerous sexual harassment lawsuits faced by the company and a whole lot of controversies regarding employee treatment, the company has to work on its image and regain the trust not just of its own employees, but it fans and the public.

Meanwhile, Activision Blizzard has just been acquired by Microsoft for a staggering $70 billion. With such a flurry of changes constantly occurring, the game studio somehow manages to put out a fairly continuous stream if content for its fans to enjoy.

Recently announced, the next “world of Warcraft” expansion was revealed on the 19th of April 2022. Dubbed “World of Warcraft: Dragonflight,” the expansion introduces a new playable dragonkin race called the Dracthyr, a new class called Evoker, a revamped users interface, the return of talent trees, and a new zone: the dragon Isles.

Blizzard Games Coming to Mobile

Alongside this new expansion, Blizzard also decided to reveal that they would re-release “wrath of the Lich King” for players of “World of Warcraft Classic.” Commonly abbreviated WotLK, the expansion was one of the most successful iterations of the game, so tons of players are like looking to revisit it.
