AYuTe Africa Challenge – Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, candidates must:

  • Between 18 to 35 years by the deadline day
  • Be youths having an innovative ideas that focuses on the agriculture sector.
  • Applicants must hold Nigerian nationality and provide official identification (national identity card, international passport, or permanent voters’ card).
  • Participants must produce financial statements for their venture.
  • Applicants should be a founder or co-founder of the enterprise Participating in the competition. The applicant must also have an active role in the activities and leadership.
  • Participants’ ventures should have the potential for partnership and collaboration with other actors/stakeholders.

Requirements for the Company

For an enterprise to be considered for the AYuTe Africa Challenge Nigeria, it must meet specific requirements, including:

  • The company must have been registered/incorporated with the relevant government agencies in Nigeria.
  • The enterprise should demonstrate the ability to scale and impact a large number of smallholder farmers, with evidence of recorded impact on smallholder farmers’ revenue and/or operations.
  • The company’s activities should have the potential for job creation and poverty reduction in the agricultural sector.
  • The enterprise should align with relevant national policies and international treaties, such as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
  • The company should possess a strong competitive advantage in the agritech space.
