YouTube TV and Google TV

YouTube TV is a Streaming TV Platform that offers customers a way to stop making use of traditional cable and satellite TV. With YouTube TV, users get to enjoy live broadcasts of their favorite, local sports, and entertainment channels.

The service rose quickly to become one of the top streaming platforms all thanks to the features that it is offering it, customers. While other top companies like Sling TV, fuboTV, Hulu with Live TV, and others so happen to offer limited cloud DVR space with an upgrade option, YouTube TV offers its users an unlimited space (via Google).

The service also includes profiles, enabling up to around five additional members on an account, giving them their very own space and favorite channels.

Well, Google TV so happens to offer something that is entirely different when it comes to its services.

Google TV and YouTube TV Differences

Unlike the YouTube TV, Google built the Google TV to work more like an interface for all of a user’s online TV watching. Google built the Google TV on Android TV, and definitely, it would take its place.

Shalina Govil-pai, VP of Android TV and Google TV stated that Google TV is more closely aligned with the vision that Google has concerning its predecessor Android TV.

“The experience that Google Tv has to offer is a lot more aligned with Google as a whole,” said Govil-Pai. “the Google TV term came because it is so aligned with the Google mission – in terms of recommendations that are personalized when it comes to search and discovery, in terms of the integration of the content of the world at your fingertips.”

Google TV Update on Chromecast

Google launched an updated Chromecast device with the Google TV already installed on it. And it works with smart TV manufacturers to have the app pre-installed on other devices.

Like Amazon Fire Tv, Roku, and Apple TV, Google TV offers a way for their customers to manage their TV viewing and their streaming apps which includes Netflix, Disney+, Peacock, HBO Max, and YouTube TV through Google.
