The post-apocalyptic series that is based on novels by Hugh Howey is reportedly getting a second season. The show as you should know premiered on May 5th and is still airing. And the finale episode is set to stream on June 30th.
The show in question takes place in the titular silo, which is an underground facility that houses the last remnants of humanity, thus shielding them from the desolate landscape that is outside. Season 1 of the show plays out sort of like a small-town mystery that just so happens to take place at the end of the world. The series stars Rebecca Ferguson, Common, Harriet Walter, Chinaza Uche, Avi Nash, David Oyelowo, Rashida Jones, and Tim Robbins.

“We cannot wait for audiences around the world to immerse themselves in the epic world we have created to bring Hugh Howey’s novels to life,” showrunner Graham Yost in a statement said. “Apple has believed in our vision from day one and it’s an honor to have the opportunity to dig deeper into this story and peel back the layers to our characters in the silo.”
Apple has seemingly been a very good supporter of mystery series such as Silo, renewing the likes of Servance and Servant for many seasons, thus making it much easy for viewers to get invested. That is however in contrast to some other streamers that frequently cancel puzzle box shows just before they have a chance to really get going.
