This Important Feature won’t be on the Halo Infinite Campaign

This simply means that you would be required to bring your own friends to engage in a multiplayer team co-op mission. If you have no friend interested in a round of campaign co-op, the only other way is for you to shoot requests in Discord channels and social media communities to locate teammates.

Moreover, if you are hoping that things would change with the final version, well that is not going to happen either. “Online Matchmaking would not be available with the final co-op,” an Xbox Team spokesperson stated to GamesRadar.

The spokesperson further advised the players to make use of the new Discord Voice features on the Xbox to locate new teammates. Campaign co-op mode has been a staple of the series, and it is where the true “Halo” fandom lies, making the decision feel a lot more disappointing. “Halo Infinite” Fans waited quite a long time for the campaign co-op mode to head life, but with the absence of online matchmaking, it only makes an oddly half-baked implementation because it is now harder for you to find players that are interested in a team campaign.

There is Some Silver Lining to This News

When it comes to players with a circle of friends who have embraced the game, this is not a problem, but new entrants coming to the franchise would have a tough time convincing random strangers on Discord to player campaign with them.

While it seems like the absence of online matchmaking for campaign co-op mode is a bummer, it also has a positive side to it. Games that have online matchmaking are rife with instances of abuse and verbal harassment because you might not know just how a random player in a team-based campaign might behave once the battle starts.
