Eligibility Criteria of African Union (AU) Digital and Innovation Fellowship 2024

To be eligible for the AU Digital and Innovation Fellowship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Reside in Africa and hold citizenship of an African Union member state.
  • Be under 34 years old at the time of application.
  • Hold a university degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Demonstrate the ability to gather and analyze information to solve complex problems.
  • Possesses experience and skills in designing innovative technology solutions.
  • Must attend an induction workshop and be available to travel.
  • Commit to dedicating 12 months to the fellowship in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
  • Fluency in more than one official AU language (Arabic, English, French, Portuguese, Spanish, and Swahili) is encouraged.
