The AERC-World Bank Visiting Scholars Program is a key component of this partnership. Applicants must fulfill the following criteria to be fit for the AERC-World Bank Visiting Scholars Program.

- To be fit, candidates must be AERC inspectors.
- Expected to have an active AERC research project either at the interim stage or post field stage or final research paper stage
- All submitted research projects must be relevant to the agenda of the World Bank Africa Region.
- Have a Ph.D. or pursue a Ph.D. in economics or field related.
- Applicants must show a strong interest in embrace and espouse-relevant research.
- Candidates should have a track record of research publications or reveal research potential.
Excellent written and spoken English skills are in demand for candidates.
Application Process for AERC-World Bank Visiting Scholars Program 2024

- An essay containing subjects that are relevant to the research agenda of the Africa region of the World Bank
