WSA Youth Ambassador Program
The WSA Youth Ambassador Program is a dynamic initiative that empowers young changemakers to promote digital innovations that address critical social challenges on a global scale. As a Youth Ambassador, you will play a pivotal role in inspiring and mobilizing fellow youths to participate in the Young Innovators category of the World Summit Awards.
The World Summit Awards (WSA) is a prestigious UN-based awards program that recognizes and promotes local digital innovations with a positive societal impact. It was established in 2003 as part of the United Nations’ World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) and collaborates with UNESCO and UNIDO.

Qualifications and Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the WSA Youth Ambassador Program, you must meet the following criteria:
- A genuine commitment to driving positive change through technology.
- You must be between 18 and 30 years old at the end of the application period (August 15, 2023).
- You should be a resident in one of the UN member states.
- Availability to dedicate at least 25 days per year to WSA activities.
- A good command of English and the official language of your country (if not English).
- Possession of a computer/mobile device with a stable internet connection for active participation.
Timeline for the WSA Youth Ambassador Program
Here is the timeline for the WSA Youth Ambassador Program for 2023:
- Application Deadline: All applications must be submitted in English online by August 15, 2023, at 23:59 CET.
- Shortlisting Process: The selection team will review applications, and shortlisted candidates will be notified of the results by August 31, 2023.
- First Meeting: The first (virtual) meeting of the WSA Youth Ambassadors will be held in the first week of September 2023.
