WISE Prize for Education 2024-2025 (Up to $1,000,000 Prize) | How to Apply Now

Applications are currently being accepted for the WISE Prize for Education 2024-2025. Since 2009, the WISE Awards and WISE Prize for Education have showcased over 100 global innovative solutions and individuals in the field of education. Over the past 15 years, many of these initiatives have grown in impact, contributed to the work of WISE, expanded to new regions, and more.

The WISE Prize for Education, born from the vision of Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, aims to elevate key players in the education sector. In 2024, WISE is launching the next generation of the WISE Prize as one sole initiative, identifying a group of finalists to participate in this competition.

WISE will offer support through capacity building and mentorship to organizations addressing new challenges in education. This iteration of the WISE Prize will work with the chosen finalists over one year to develop solutions for key education challenges, including:

  • Improving the teaching of the Arabic language: Develop a solution to enhance the effectiveness of teaching, acquisition, and use of the Arabic language.
  • Accelerating foundational literacies: Create a personalized learning tool to accelerate basic literacy and numeracy skills, particularly in under-resourced areas.
  • Addressing challenges in A.I.: Design a tech-based intervention to equip youth with skills to navigate challenges in an A.I.-driven market and society, such as biases and disinformation.

Eligibility

  • This is open to legally registered organizations, including colleges, universities, academic networks, schools, civil society, community organizations, governments, international agencies, private-sector companies, and non-profit entities operating in the field of education.
  • The organization should be in operation for at least 12 months with established programs or products.
  • Representation from any education sector is welcome to apply.
  • Applications should be for original works and projects, submitted by a representative working within the project.

Selection Criteria

  • Credentials: Applicants should demonstrate a record supporting their ability to solve the education challenge.
  • Innovation: Proposals should address the challenge in an evidence-based approach not tested or implemented before.
  • Feasibility: Proposals should have a coherent Minimum Viable Product timeline with clear resource allocation and manpower planning.
  • Scalability: Solutions should demonstrate potential for expansion and detail sustainable funding over time.
  • Contextualization: Solutions should be adaptable to different geographic and social contexts.
