Scholarship Award

Duration
The scholarship is applicable for the academic year 2023-2024, covering one year of study for full-time Master’s programs.
Number of Scholarships
A limited number of scholarships are available, up to 30 approximately and the selection process is highly competitive. Therefore, it is essential to submit a strong and well-prepared application to increase your chances of securing this prestigious scholarship.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the University of Birmingham’s Global Masters Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Applicants are expected to have applied for, and received an offer of admission for, a Masters’s degree at the University of Birmingham UK campus, to study in the 2023/24 academic year.
- The applicant must be resident in one of the selected countries.
- Must be an overseas fee payer for tuition fee purposes.
- Protective Candidates must be starting a full-time program at the University in September/ October 2023
- Required equivalent grades in the US, India, Nigeria, and China include A 3.5/ 4.0 and above in the US GPA system.
- 70% in the Indian grading system
- A 3.5 /4.0 or 4.5/5.0 or 6.2/ 7.0 in the Nigerian grading system
- An 85% grade awarded by a top-tier Chinese University, a 90% grade awarded by a mid-tier Chinese University
Application Process for the Global Masters Scholarship
The Global Masters Scholarship will be automatically offered to applicants who meet the above-mentioned criteria.
- In other to accept this scholarship, applicants must accept the offer they receive from the University’s Admissions Office, by the deadline stated on their offer letter.

- Please note Candidates are required to pay the sum of £2,000 (GBP) admissions deposit by the deadline set by the Admissions Office in their offer letter. This will ensure the scholarship is fully secured
