The new owner of Twitter, Elon Musk on Thursday said that the company is at the moment working on a process to inform users on the social media platform whether their tweets have been suppressed under a process that is known as shadow banning and will then let them appeal the situation. The announcement is coming as Journalist Bari Weiss published screenshots of company documents suggesting that employees of titter downplayed conservative notes on the social media platform.

“Twitter is working on a software update that will show your true account status,” Musk on Thursday said in a tweet. “So you know clearly if you’ve been shadowbanned, the reason why and how to appeal.”
