The European Union commissioner for the internal market, Thierry Breton has told musk that twitter could be banned in the region or even hit with a fine of up to 6% of its global turnover if the firm does not stick to the rules on content moderation of EU according to the Financial Times.
Witter must follow up with the Digital Services Act, stated Breton, who told Musk apparently that he must put an end to his arbitrary approach to reinstating banned users on the platform, must aggressively pursue disinformation to an extensive independent audit of twitter by the following year.
