- The scholarship does not apply to Applicants who have completed secondary education in a School in New Zealand school
- Applicants who enrolled for any prerequisite course at Victoria University of Wellington are not eligible. This includes Foundation Studies Program or English Proficiency Program
- The scholarship does not apply to Candidates who have a Study Abroad or students of any partner universities
- Students who are in their 2nd year of study at university are not eligible
