The Limited-Edition Gucci Xbox Series X is the Most Expensive Xbox Ever Made which was mind-blowing. As long as companies continue making and selling products, there would be endorsements, limited editions, and prices that come with insanely high retail price tags, even if the endorsement or the limited-edition products would make absolutely no sense whatsoever.
The Limited-Edition Gucci Xbox Series X is the Most Expensive Xbox Ever Made
In November 2021, the House of Gates got hooked up with the house of Gucci and they released the least needed iterations of the Xbox to ever hit the market, and it happens to be one of the most expensive versions of the uber-popular gaming console to be made.
What made this version even more mind-blowing was that, at the time, just finding a regular ol’ Xbox Series X was more like purchasing the winning Mega millions lotto ticket while finding the pot of gold at the rainbow’s end. And this was about a year after its initial release was offered to the public.
So, why should you be releasing a version of the console at a period when supplies were limited for the base model that quite literally only the rich and famous would “affectionately” refer to as one-percenters – would have to guts to buy? It isn’t just all about the money as it is about the publicity.
Owned by the French luxury group Kering, Gucci brought in approximately €9.73 billion in 2021. Meanwhile, Microsoft generated $168 billion in revenue in 2021. Neither company was hurting for extra revenue that this limited-edition box of fashionable tech would offer to them.

And by the limited edition, we mean only 100 of these Gucci-emblazoned models were made. Each of the consoles carries the Double GG logo, which was initially inspired by the Gucci rhombi design from the 30s, laser etched across their black cases. The console was accommodated by two controllers that carry the red and blue web stripe and a handy carrying case reminiscent of Gucci’s famous luggage. On the bottom of the box are the words good game.
The Karma here is quite strong mainly because the Ubiquitous gaming slogan tossed around at the end of a multiplayer match is a good game, typically distilled down to two letters: GG. Amazingly, this letter happens to be the exact initials of Gucci’s founder, Guccio Gucci. Oh, Xbox by Gucci, indeed.

The idea of making a Limited-Edition of the Xbox Series X came about because folks at the respective juggernauts thought that since Gucci would be celebrating its 100th year and Xbox was commemorating its 20th, they should work hand in hand to create a once-in-a-lifetime limited-edition collaboration, one that debuted with a retail price of $10,000 each. All 100 was sold out on Gucci’s website. However, the auction site StockX has a few for sale ranging from $7,000 to over $17,000.
