The DeveloPPP Ventures Competition – Details
DeveloPPP focuses on bridging entrepreneurial opportunities and development policy potential, the program is a cornerstone initiative by the BMZ.
It acts as a catalyst for private-sector activities in developing and emerging countries, providing financial and technical support for companies committed to sustainable investments.
Eligibility Requirements
For African startups who wish to participate in develoPPP Ventures 2024, certain criteria need to be met, these include:
- Local Registration: Your company must be registered in the target country or have plans to register before the co-financed growth investment.
- Innovative Business Model: Demonstrate an innovative business model with proof of concept and initial revenues.
- Development Relevance and Scalability: Your business model should align with high development relevance, and scalability, and contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
- Targeted Call for Applications: As of the current call for applications (November 15 to December 31), develoPPP Ventures has set its sights only on the following countries; Kenya, Nigeria, and Tanzania.
Eligible Companies Must:
- Be privately owned and profit-oriented.
- Provide at least one annual financial statement.
- Present a viable business plan and financial projections for at least five years.
- Have operational status with proof of concept and generated revenues.
- Eligible companies must not have acquired over EUR 2 million maximum in funding to date.
