About the Role

You will report directly to both the Partnership Launch and Talent Acquisition leadership teams, working closely with key stakeholders worldwide and leading the hiring efforts for our new launches.
  • Collaboration with group and department leads, Vice Presidents, territory Managing Directors, and our C-suite is essential in order to ensure a shared understanding of the strategy and value proposition among internal stakeholders and external prospects. You will be supported by an in-house Talent Acquisition Manager and will provide functional management for the new Talent Acquisition Managers recruited specifically for our new program launches, particularly during the initial high-growth phase.
  • As a highly experienced talent acquisition and search lead, you possess advanced skills in sourcing, negotiation, and talent attraction. Your communication abilities, both written and verbal, are exceptionally effective. You thrive on interacting with people, building relationships, and networking. These qualities come naturally to you and are what you find fulfilling in your professional life.
  • It is essential to possess a strong sense of ownership, the ability to execute tasks efficiently, and to be resourceful and innovative. As a champion of executive talent acquisition, you will be dedicated to elevating and delivering excellent results for the function. This role holds substantial influence and demands a hands-on approach, as it involves spearheading talent acquisition initiatives such as sourcing, hiring strategy, and delivery for NewGlobe’s new launches on a global scale.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct executive searches and headhunts for critical leadership positions, with a particular focus on Africa and Asia.
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and leadership to talent acquisition managers in various locations, enhancing their ability to attract, engage, and assess candidates effectively, with a focus on identifying and nurturing top talent rather than simply recruiting.
  • Oversee the hiring and onboarding process for the Talent Acquisition Managers you bring on board for each new program, ensuring they have the necessary resources and empowerment as you transition to launching other programs.
  • Supervise end-to-end searches for a variety of roles, primarily through your own efforts, but also overseeing contingent resources or external recruiters as needed. This will involve managing multiple high-growth programs globally each year.
  • Develop and implement a range of hiring strategies and initiatives, including sourcing and hiring practices, talent attraction, employer branding, outreach programs, and internship initiatives.
  • Advocate for and uphold the best practices of talent acquisition, embodying these practices and overseeing their implementation across your Talent Acquisition teams, with a strong emphasis on utilizing systems, and processes, and ensuring hiring quality.
  • Objectively review current processes and continuously focus on iterative improvements, particularly in terms of quality of hire, time to hire, and candidate experience.
  • Guide senior stakeholders and hiring groups by providing valuable insights and utilizing hiring and employment data.

  • Curiosity, perseverance, and a strong drive to identify and attract talent across Africa, Asia, and other regions worldwide.
  • Experience in establishing and maintaining relationships with C-level executives, both internally and externally, demonstrating effective collaboration across organizations.
  • Availability and enthusiasm for significant travel commitments during Partnership Launch activities, averaging 4 to 6 weeks per program, including hiring and onboarding a new Talent Acquisition Manager. Anticipate up to 50% of travel, primarily in Africa and Asia.
