South African students pursuing MSc or PhD studies, with a focus on research linked to the CERN facility, are encouraged to apply.
Benefits of SA-CERN Excellence Bursary
The SA-CERN Excellence bursary offers the following financial support:
- MSc Level: Approximately R115,000 – R150,000
- PhD Level: Around R102,000 – R177,000
Eligibility Requirements
- The SA-CERN Programme seeks exceptional individuals with a proven track record of excellence and a clear demonstration of outstanding future potential.
- The ideal candidate should have completed their previous degree with an impressive aggregate of 65%.
- In addition, South African citizenship and full-time registration at a South African university from 2024 are prerequisites.
