Prospect Burma Scholarship – Overview
The prospective Burma scholarship was created to provide funding to enable an individual from Myanmar to pursue higher education, such as a degree program. The scholarship can be applied to living expenses (including housing and food), educational materials, tuition, and round-trip transportation expenses back to the study location.
Financial assistance will be provided for a maximum of two years for a master’s degree and one year for a bachelor’s degree (you will need to reapply for following years of study), three years maximum for a PhD in program.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the Prospect Burma Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Origin and Residency: Applicants must be originally from Myanmar. Priority is given to applicants currently residing in and applying from Myanmar.
- Academic Pursuit: Candidates must be in the process of enrolling or have acceptance for a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. degree.
- Accredited colleges or universities worldwide are eligible, with a special focus on institutions in Southeast Asia and Hong Kong.
- Health Insurance: Applicants are expected to find and obtain necessary health insurance for their studies
