Peacock drops the first trailer for Twisted Metal and it has cars, guns as well as a creepy clown. And with all of that being said, the comedy show is set to start streaming in July.
Peacock Trailer for Twisted Metal
The video game adaptations these days are coming thick and fast. And the latest in the moving train is the latest adaptation of the vehicular combat series of Peacock, Twisted Metal which as you should know just got its very first trailer. The short clip that was released however does not reveal many details, but you get a glimpse of a really creepy clown known as Sweet Tooth, as well as what seems to be post-apocalyptic Las Vegas.
The Official Description of the Show
The series initially was announced in 2021, and the comedy as you should know stars Anthony Mackie and Stephanie Beatriz. The show will consist of 10 episodes with each lasting for half an hour. And as per the official description of the show;
“…about a motor-mouthed outsider offered a chance at a better life, but only if he can successfully deliver a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland. With the help of a badass axe-wielding car thief, he’ll face savage marauders driving vehicles of destruction and other dangers of the open road, including a deranged clown who drives an all too familiar ice cream truck.”
Gaming Companies Going Into Movie and TV
This is all part of a push from PlayStation to move its big franchises into other media which has included an Uncharted Movie as well as a Last of Us series on HBO so far. Other titles to be in the works are Ghost of Tsushima, Horizon Zero Dawn, Gran Turismo, and God of War. PlayStation however is not the only gaming company to be getting onto film and TV as most notably Super Mario Bros. Movie from Nintendo has been the biggest theatrical release of the year 2023 so far.
Streaming Date
The comedy show Twisted Metal will begin streaming on Peacock on July 27.
