OpenAi’s GPT which is the hottest AI technology foundation just got a huge upgrade on Tuesday that is now available in the premium version of the ChatGPT chatbot.
The new GPT-4 as you should know can now generate much longer strings of text and make responses when people feed it images and it is also designed to do a better job of avoiding artificial intelligence pitfalls that were visible in the earlier GPT-3.5, OpenAI on Tuesday said. For instance, when taking bar exams that attorneys must pass in order to practice law, GPT-4 ranks in the top 10% of scores in contrast to the bottom 10% for GPT-3.5, the AI research company stated.
What Is GPT and Its Uses
GPT stands for Generative Pretrained Transformer, which is a reference to the fact that it can generate text on its own and that it also uses an AI technology known as transformers that are pioneered by Google. This is a type of AI called a large language model that is trained on vast swaths of data that are harvested from the internet, learning mathematically to spot patterns and then reproduce styles.
