Nvidia Is Cutting the Prices of RTX 3080 and RTX 3090 Ahead Of Its Next-Gen GPU Launch

A new slew of leeks making the rounds on the internet has revealed that Nvidia is planning on cutting down the price of its GeForce RTX 3090 and 3080 graphic cards. And if this is true, this means that these prices will be happening just before the launch of the Lovelace GPU launch by the company.

When Will the Cut in Price Take Effect?

The price cuts are reportedly set for this week although at the moment no word on an exact date has been announced as per Benchlife and VideoCardz. And by the time this happens, it will be affecting some of the best graphic cards in the market such as 3090 Ti, 3090, 3080 Ti, and 3080.

The leaked documents from Benchlife show that the new MSRPs will place the RTX 3090 Ti at $1,499, the RTX 3080 Ti at $1,099, and the RTX 3090 at $1,299, and the RTX 3080 at $799.  Presently, there are no reports on whether the other cheaper 3000-series graphics cards will also be getting any cuts in their prices.

The Rumors Have Been Backed By So Many Online Retailers

It already seems that the rumors have been backed by some popular and many online retailers who already have started to post cut down prices. The drops in prices however have been inconsistent with the leaks.

Newegg for instance has been posting all new prices for all high-end cards except for the RTX 3080. The EVGA direct US store on the other hand is posting all newly leaked MSRPs. BestBuy however is only acting on the drop in price for the 3090 Ti.
