New iPad Mini Pro – Specs and Release Date

Just after the launch of the new 2021 iPad pro and the 2021 iPad Mini, a rumor came about for a combo tablet that goes with the name the iPad mini Pro. And just as the name entails, it would be the pro-level version of the mini that recently arrived in September.

iPad Mini Pro Release Date

with only a few details. The consensus right now is this tablet, that is if it is even real and if it would be coming in 2022.

At the moment our strongest bet on its release date is that it would be coming in 2022, and after more than one event since then, nothing has been said concerning the iPad Mini Pro.

iPad Mini Pro Price

at the moment, it is unclear how apple would market the tablet. If the iPad is viewed as a smaller iPad Pro, the price could turn out quite different than if it is looked at as a larger, and more capable iPad mini. Of course, the design elements and hardware of this device also play a significant role when it comes to pricing.

One estimate goes around $649 to $699, and it sounds quite reasonable considering that it is the in-between price of the lower-end models of the mini and the pro (which go for around $499 and $799).

Pre-Order Information

Usually, pre-orders take place shortly after the device is announced. Make sure you try to follow this page for updates so that you can get your hands on the iPad Mini Pro as soon as Apple chooses to divulge all the details.

iPad Mini Pro Features

Most of the features that we are expecting mirror the regular iPad mini and Pro Features, excluding the size of the screen.

One major angle that some people are taking happens to be that of the mini-Pro which would carry the in-display touch ID. One glaring issue with this speculation is that the 2021 iPad Pro and iPad mini do not have it, so it is very unlikely the pro-level mini will get it. Unless it’s not released for while right after those editions.

Another thing that we can expect the tablet to carry is the USB-C. The regular mini and the latest Pro tablet both have it. Apple stated that the Pro port happens to be the faster port to be used on an iPad, so bringing it to the mini would make even more sense.

iPad Mini Pro Specs and Hardware

Most of the details we have at the moment come from the Twitter user Tron, who claims to be confident about several information except for the price of the iPad.

According to Tron, this tablet would be longer than the 2021 iPad Mini horizontally. But it is still clearly smaller than the 11-inch iPad Pro, although the source stated that this tablet would be longer when measured horizontally.

Space Gray happens to be a standard iPad Color, so it is not a surprise that the mini-Pro would follow suit. We do not assume that the list is exhaustive, though. The current Mini supports the Pink, Starlight, and Purple are additional colors that the current mini offers support, so we might be seeing the same colors for the Pro Mini.

Also, it is certain that we would see a 5G in the mini-pro. The latest mini has support for 5G as well, but not the mmWave. There is a great chance that Apple might tweak the Pro mini to take advantage of that network type.

Currently, the mini iPad comes in 64GB and 256GB. While the pro starts at 128GB and extends to 2 TB. Since this version would be the pro version of the mini, we guess that you would be given much larger options, either 1 or 2 TB.
