AMD Ryzen 9 7900X Leak Suggests A Very Impressive 12-core CPU

Ryzen 9 7900X processor of Ryzen has been spotted in a benchmark where it reveals a clean pair of heels to the model that it will soon be succeeding.

The 12-core CPU which is set to make its debut well over a week from now replaces the 5900X and it has already turned up in a Geekbench 5 result as seen by @BenchLeaks on Twitter via Tom’s hardware.

The Ryzen 7900X Recorded Scores of 2,167 for a Single Thread

The Ryzen 7900X recorded scores of 2,167 for a single thread and for multi-thread, 18,446. And looking at it, in both cases, it is roughly 30% quicker and faster than the 5900X, going by the typical Geekbench results for the latter which is actually around 32% faster in regards to multi-core. And as with any other leak, you should be skeptical about this one and remember that there is a huge possibility that it could also be fake.

However, that being said, the observed 30% generational increase here is what was being touted by AMD for the single-thread uplift from next-gen chips, although the prediction was higher in regards to multi-threaded workloads at 45%.

You Should Take Caution With This Very Leak

In this very scenario, in regards to these leaks, we must however not take caution and keep it at the forefront of our minds about authenticity, but we should also remember that even though the leak is real and genuine, it is just a single benchmark and so a limited perspective of the reported performance of the Ryzen 7900X.

And also, the fact that this is lining up with the pre-release marketing figures of AMD for single-thread, it is quite reassuring although even if the results for the multi-thread are not as quite as impressive a jump from the current-gen 5900X. but however, in everything, it is still a substantial increase.
