Applications are open for the Mediterranean Youth Academy 3rd Edition, applicants who meet the age requirement of 18 and 29 years and are nationals of one of the Union of the Mediterranean states, are encouraged to apply. This year, the academy will take place from 6-9 November 2023 in Barcelona, Spain.
Furthermore, the Mediterranean Youth Academy (MYA), has a mission to empower Successfully selected Candidates from the Euro-Mediterranean area via interactive sessions, and intensive training programs focused on issues that are relevant to the region.
Overview of the Mediterranean Youth Academy 3rd Edition
The 3rd edition of MYA seeks to promote the involvement of youth in response to Mediterranean issues and challenges related to three thematic clusters namely: Climate Change & Climate Justice, Social Inclusion, and Youth Employment.
Eligibility criteria
To be eligible for the Mediterranean Youth Academy, applicants must meet certain criteria. They include:
- The required age for all applicants is a minimum of 18 years and 29 years maximum by the time of the application submission.
- He/She must be a national of one of the UfM Member States.
- Posses a valid travel document by the time of the application
- An Intermediate level of English is a core requirement
- Be able to follow through the MYA for the full four days that is, 6-9 November 2023.
- An experience in one of the Thematic Clusters is mandatory

The application process for the Mediterranean Youth Academy is straightforward and typically conducted online.
- All Interested applicants must fill out the online application form on: docs.google.com/forms/d/e/150feg/viewform by May 31, 2023, at 23:59 CEST.
- Applicants are advised to submit their applications early as any applications received after the deadline will be automatically rejected.
Benefits of the Mediterranean Youth Academy 3rd Edition
- The academy is open to 50 Applicants from selected countries including; Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Palestine, Tunisia, and Türkiye.
- All participants in the program will have their costs covered, including flights, accommodation, and boarding.
- The program will provide financial support for these expenses. During the application process, candidates are required to indicate their preference for one of the three thematic clusters.
