The McCall MacBain Scholarships Program was established in February 2019 through a landmark gift of $200 million by John and Marcy McCall MacBain. This generous contribution marked the largest single gift in Canadian history at the time.
Drawing from their extensive experience with renowned scholarships worldwide, such as the Rhodes Scholarships in Oxford, the Mandela Rhodes Scholarships in Cape Town, and the Kupe Scholarships in New Zealand, the McCall MacBains aimed to create a comprehensive master’s-level scholarship in Canada that goes beyond academic excellence.

Eligibility Criteria:
You’re expected to meet the conditions below in other to be eligible to apply for the 2024 cohort of the McCall MacBain Scholarships.
- You are currently pursuing your first bachelor’s degree and about to earn the cert by August 2024
- Your first bachelor’s degree must have been warned in the last five years
- You must meet the age Criteria which is from 30 years and below in 2023
- The minimum degree and language requirements for McGill master’s program admission must be met
Application Deadlines for 2024 Admission
- For Applicants from Canada and the United States, Including Canadians abroad, apply by September 27, 2023.
- All International Students and graduates of universities from other countries should apply by August 24, 2023
Application Process for McCall MacBain Scholarships 2024 Cohort
In applying for the McCall MacBain Scholarships, ensure that you apply early! Applications are done online from the month of June to August / September 2023 for Summer / Fall 2024 admission.
