The University of Kent (Law School) offers the LLM Global Welcome Scholarship, a fund meant to offer support to overseas students from OECD Countries, these students are enrolled for the full duration of LLM at the University of Kent.
About LLM Global Welcome Scholarship
The University of Kent Law School has established a major fund to support overseas students from any country which receives Official Development Assistance also known ODA from the OECD. Amongst the eligible countries for this scholarship included are Thailand, India, Nigeria, Kenya, Brazil, China, Turkey and many more.
The LLM Global Welcome Scholarship award provides a stipend of £2,500 to entrants who meet the eligibility conditions stated below. LLM Global Welcome Scholarship will be given in a single instalment in the second term of the programme.
The University of Kent will assess eligibility for the award after an application for entry to the Kent LLM has been submitted. There is no further application required for the award.

Criteria for LLM Global Welcome Scholarship
Candidates for LLM Global Welcome Scholarship are required to meet the following criteria to be eligible to apply for this scholarship:
- The applicant must be classified by the University of Kent as an overseas student for tuition fee purposes
- An applicant must be fully self-funding their studies
- An Applicant must have applied for a taught Kent LLM at the Brussels Centre for International Studies for entry in September 2022 or in January 2023
- An Applicant must have firmly accepted an offer of a place on the taught LLM by the scholarship application deadline
- A Candidate is required to submit an application by the scholarship application deadline or face disapproval for late submission
- Candidate must meet the academic conditions of entry/be accepted for entry for the award to be given
- The Scholarship award cannot be held in conjunction with other awards and scholarships offered by Kent Law School or the Division for the Study of Law, Society, and Social Justice
- All graduates of the University of Kent are eligible for the award if they meet the stated conditions that have been outlined in this post, these conditions require students to continue their studies beyond their main frame of registration.

We have earlier mentioned that the LLM Global Welcome Scholarship award can not be held in conjunction with other awards and scholarships offered by the University of Kent, except where they are provided by Kent Law School, the award which provides the greater monetary value overall will be given only.
University of Kent graduates are eligible for the award if they are meet the above-stated conditions
The LLM is a one year, full-time programme of study, where students are required to continue their studies into a second year, the award will only be provided for the first year of study.
All Successful recipients will be notified in August and September by email after their offer to study at the Kent LLM is firmly accepted.
