Khalifa University Postgraduate Scholarship
The scholarship program at Khalifa University of Science and Technology is designed to assist deserving foreign students pursuing postgraduate degree programs. Without giving prior notice, the University has the right to alter the stated terms and benefits of scholarships.
Current graduate students at Khalifa University of Science and Technology are eligible for generous scholarships that cover all of their required educational costs. The evaluation of applicants’ eligibility for scholarships occurs throughout the admissions process; separate scholarship applications are not needed.

The Khalifa University Postgraduate Scholarship offers the following benefits:
- Full Tuition Fee Waiver
- Accommodation
- Textbooks provided by Khalifa University.
- Medical insurance coverage for full-time international students sponsored by Khalifa University.
- Cost coverage for Mobilization and demobilization flights (between home country and Abu Dhabi). This applies to full-time international students, subject to approval.
- A coverage of UAE visa application fees for full-time international students.
Eligibility requirements
For International Students who wish to pursue Master’s degree programs, the eligibility criteria include;
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum CGPA of 3.0 out of 4.0, or its equivalent from a reputable accredited institution.
- For admission to any Master of Science program, a minimum quantitative score of 150 on the General Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is necessary. Candidates must take the GRE in all three areas.
- Two or more referee recommendations, submitted using an online form is required
- A 500 to 1,000 words statement of purpose
- A minimal degree of competence in English as demonstrated by either:
- 91 or higher on the internet-based TOEFL exam, or
- A 1550 EmSAT English score, or an overall academic IELTS score of 6.5
For Ph.D. programs:
- Completion of a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum CGPA of 3.25 out of 4.0 or equivalent from a reputable accredited institution is required or;
- Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.5 out of 4.0 or equivalent from a reputable accredited institution (for direct admission from Bachelor to PhD).
- A minimum Graduate Record Examination (GRE) quantitative score of 150. Candidates must take the GRE in all three areas.
- Two or more referee recommendations were submitted using an online form.
- A 500 to 1,000 words Statement of purpose and a 500 to 1,000 words Statement of research.

Application Documents
The required documents include:
- A certified copy of the Bachelor’s/Master’s degree certificate;
- Equivalency certificate for those graduating from institutions outside the UAE;
- An official school transcript, and
- Proof of English proficiency through IELTS, TOEFL, or EmSAT scores.
