Eotvos Lorand University is currently accepting applications from eligible international students aspiring to pursue Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral programs in Hungary for the 2024/2025 academic year.

Eotvos Lorand University Scholarship Overview
The goal of this Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship at Eotvos Lorand University is to foster economic ties and cross-cultural understanding among participating international students. This scholarship is fully funded and also covers the cost of the recipient’s language preparation course.
You can choose the course you want to take and participate in the free international scholarship program. If you are from one of the qualifying countries, there is no discrimination based on your age, sex, ethnicity, or color. You’re only required to be a motivated individual with the passion to grow and change the world.
Benefits of the Eotvos Lorand Scholarship
- Students awarded with the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship will be exempted from paying tuition fees and application fees.
- A paid accommodation in higher education institutions or HUF 40,000 monthly for 12 months.
- Provision of Healthcare Services and supplementary private health insurance.
- Free visa facility.
- Free residence permit.
- Free of cost library services.
The following amounts are awarded as scholarships:
- HUF 43,700 per month for master’s, bachelor’s, and preparatory language courses.
- For the first two years of doctorate studies, HUF 140,000 per month.
- For the second two years of PhD study, HUF 180,000 per month.

Eligibility Criteria of the Eotvos Lorand University Scholarship:
To be eligible for the Lorand University Scholarship;
- Prospective Candidates must hail from or are citizens of the eligible countries (see the official website for a list of countries)
- Have a good previous academic record
- Be passionate about pursuing your studies to the next level.
- The English Language requirements must be fulfilled
- Prospective Candidates must not belong to Hungary or have dual citizenship.
- This award does not apply to refugees, stateless persons, asylum seekers, migrants, and Individuals who do not fall within the shop of Section 39(1a) of the Higher Education Act.
