The Jim Ovia Foundation has been awarding scholarship Programs to eligible Nigerian Students since 1998.
This Jim Ovia Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship is fully funded by Mr. Jim Ovia to provide financial assistance to Nigerian youth who demonstrate academic excellence. The scholarship was formerly called the MUSTE scholarship, with about 100 opportunities awarded annually for new and renewing applicants who fulfill the conditions of the scholarship.
About Jim Ovia Foundation (JOF)
The Jim Ovia Foundation seeks to empower children with education and Information Communication Technology (ICT) skills in order to better prepare them for the future of our country through our different programs.
Through nationally recognized programs like the Jim Ovia Scholarship, Jim Ovia ICT Entrepreneurs Program, and most recently, the Jim Ovia Foundation Leaders Scholarship (JOFLS) Fund (in partnership with Africa America Institute (AAI), which is worth $2 million, the Jim Ovia Foundation has helped more than 1,500 college students and entrepreneurs.
Benefits of the Jim Ovia Foundation Scholarship Program
Successful recipients of the 2023 Jim Ovia Foundation Scholarship will be fully supported during their undergraduate studies, which will cover:
- Tuition fees
- Accommodations
- Living allowances of N150,000.00
Eligibility Criteria
Application requirements for the Jim Ovia Foundation Scholarship include:
- Candidates must be possess Nigerian citizenship.
- Must be currently enrolled, or will be enrolled in the future, at a Nigerian university.
- Applicants must possess a track record of academic performance and leadership
- He/she must be driven to make a difference in society
- Scholarships are given based on an applicant’s intellectual prowess, leadership potential, and willingness to advance society at large and better the lives of others.

Documents Required for Application
In the course of applying for the Jim Ovia Foundation Scholarship 2023, you will be submitting the following:
- The Completed application form (Personal Details)
- Valid Government-issued ID Card
- An official original letter from your school/Head of Department stating the following:
- Your full name
- Course Title
- Department of Study
- CGPA
- Gender
- Matriculation number
- Students who are newly matriculated and yet received a matriculation number or school ID, are expected to provide a provisional admission letter to their institution of study.
- A valid student ID (University/College)
- A clear passport photograph
- Original WAEC/NECO result
- Original JAMB result
