Do you know that your Instagram bio can now include up to five links? This is true.  Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has just announced in a post on his Instagram channel on Tuesday about the new development. “Probably one of the most requested features we’ve had,” he reportedly wrote.

How the New Feature Works

You can add links simply by editing your profile in the mobile app, where you can give them titles and even reorder just how they will get to appear. If you have however added more than one link to your profile, anyone paying a visit to your profile will still have to click through a “[Your first link] and 1 other” message in order to see that list of links. That simply means that, if you have more than one link you have to feature on either your Instagram profile or already use a “Link in bio” service such as Linktree, people who want to see your links are going to have to do an extra click in a bid to see your links no matter what.

Benefits of the New Instagram Feature

It’s still a very handy feature to have built into Instagram and one that could make the platform and service more enticing to people who are looking for a new home in the aftermath of the takeover of Twitter by Elon Musk. Meta was also seemingly inspired by Twitter to kick off a roll out for paid verification, but at least the version of Meta offers benefits such as direct access to customer support instead of the shame of Twitter Blue.
