GTA 5 PS5 and Xbox Series X Physical Edition Release Date Confirmed. GTA 5 might have already been released digitally for the Xbox Series X and PS5 but it is yet to get to physical shelves. Well that would be changing soon as the next-gen version of Rockstar’s acclaimed crime-hidden open-world shooter would be launching on disc later in the month, and pre-orders would be going live.
In a recent Rockstar Blog Post, all the details were confirmed, so the price for the release date of GTA 5’s physical PS5 and Xbox Series X edition.
The game next Gen Port was rated pretty high by TechRadar, reckoning it was actually worth buying again, even if it is about a decade old.

The physical version of the PS5 and the Xbox Series X release date has been scheduled to be released on April 12. You should be able to select a copy up in your local games store or grab one off the web.

The disc of the game can be pre-ordered now and it would actually cost you $39.99 / £34.99 / about AU$53.50.
Have it at the back of your mind, that the price is significantly higher than the digital version. Well, until June 14, Xbox players get to grab a downloadable copy for about half the price at $19.99 / £17.49 / AU$29.97.
Meanwhile, all PlayStation players get an even bigger discount when it comes to the digital PS5 version of the game only $9.99 / £8.75 / AU$ 14.99 right on the PS store. And if you have ever played GTA 5’s multiplayer on PS4, you can choose to claim the PS5 version of GTA online entirely for free until the 14 of June.
You can choose to purchase the game via the Rockstar store, or probably from selected retailers, including Best Buy.
Well, it seems like there don’t appear to be any pre-order bonuses for the physical release of GTA 5 on PS5 and Xbox Series X. Although it might be disappointing, making things even easier.
When selecting where to purchase the game, you can just focus on selecting a copy for the lowest price that is available, rather than you have to factor in a ton of bonus rewards.
It is actually great for you to know what exactly you are getting in the physical version of GTA 5. GTA Online, its multiplayer component, is added along with the main single-player story. It is not available for you to purchase separately as a physical product.
What this means is that you do not have to worry about shelling out twice. You would get the single-player and the multiplayer parts of GTA 5 all in one Package. That is quite handy.
If you do happen to be interested only in the multiplayer, however, you might get better off skipping the disc version and downloading the standalone GTA online in order to save some money for yourself. During the current post-launch discount period, you can choose to pick it up for about $9.99 / £8.99 / AU$ 15.47 during this three-month discount period, or $19,99 / £17.99 / AU$ 30.95 thereafter.
If you choose to play the game’s single-player after all, you can always decide to pay and unlock story mode access later.
