Call for Applications are now open for Google Student Veterans of America Scholarship 2024 (Google SVA Scholarship).
Google Developed the Google SVA Scholarship in collaboration with Student Veterans of America as part of its commitment to serving veterans of the armed forces. The fellowship offers support to veteran students who are studying computer science at American universities.
Benefits of the Google SVA Scholarship
Students whose applications are selected for the SVA Scholarship award will receive a financial award of up to 10,000 USD for the 2024-2025 school year.
Eligibility Requirements for Google SVA Scholarship
To be eligible to apply for the Google SVA Scholarship, applicants must meet the conditions below;
- The Prospective Candidates must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate at a college or university
- Applicants be intending to be enrolled in or accepted as a full-time student at a university in the United States for the 2024-2025 academic year
- He or she must maintain a strong academic performance
- Candidates are expected to be currently enrolled in a computer science or engineering degree program, or any degree program related to the technical field
- Active duty as demonstrated by the submission of Active Duty orders and a Memorandum of Understanding from your commanding officer. The MOU should indicate your transcript and good records with your unit.
- Must have already received an honorable discharge, or is in good standing with his/her branch of service

- The online application requires the provision of the following details:
- General background information such as contact information and details about the applicant’s current and intended universities.
- Resume/ Curriculum Vitae
- Academic transcripts from the current Institution or prior institutions (for Candidates who have earned a prior degree)
- Form DD 2-14 Active Duty orders, a Memorandum of Understanding from your commanding officer stating that you are currently in good standing with your unit, or a Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty (DD-214).
- letter of reference (one copy) from an instructor, professor, adviser or supervisor

Selection Criteria
Google Student Veterans of America Scholarship recipients will be selected based on the overall strength of their essays and application materials compared to the entire applicant pool.
