Applications are currently being accepted for the Future of Film Africa Incubation Program 2024, a collaboration between Sèmè City and Future of Film. This program aims to discover and support the next generation of content creators, providing them with an exceptional opportunity to bring captivating and original stories to life.
Future of Film Africa is not just a regular incubation program; it is a unique creative adventure that combines the latest technologies with innovative narrative practices. It offers young creators an unmatched experience to develop their talent, explore innovative production methods, and access a network of experienced mentors.
Supported by the World Bank, this program aims to equip participants with the necessary skills to develop their projects, from concept to a market-ready proposal, while also showcasing the creative brilliance of African talent.
Program Details
The program is divided into two phases, the first one being virtual and including masterclasses, networking opportunities, and individual development with Future of Film. Selected projects will also receive professional audience research testing. After this initial phase, three projects will be chosen to advance further in the program, receiving personalized support.
These final projects will have the chance to be presented to a panel of influential executives. Financiers, and buyers from the screen industries sector. The ultimate goal of the program is to successfully fund these final projects and empower participants. To build sustainable businesses based on their creations.
Although the program is delivered in English, participants are allowed to submit projects in French or other languages, as long as they can complete the training modules and present their work in English.

- Any projects that are innovative, bold, and original are encouraged. Such as immersive virtual reality experiences, exciting podcasts, powerful web series, or captivating video games.
- Priority will be given to projects that can be deployed across multiple platforms and exhibit strong commercial potential.
- All ideas are welcome, no matter the size, as long as they are original, with a clear and compelling purpose, and have a defined audience.
- Applications can be made by individuals or by teams.
